Depression, sadness, withdrawal from others, trouble sleeping or eating, and even discussions about death.

According to studies by Yale University, bullying victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims.  Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people. 10 to 14 year-old girls may be at a higher risk for suicide.  30 % of students are either bullies or victims of bullying.

People who are contemplating suicide should talk to someone right away or go to an emergency room for help.  The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-273-8255.
